Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 July 2026
Introduction
Wicked Funnels Pty. Ltd. (ABN 18 616 868 350), the company that operates Appalanche (“we”, “our”, or “us”), is a software development studio based in New South Wales, Australia. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website, consistent with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
This policy covers the Appalanche website. Software we build for clients is governed by each client's own privacy policy.
What we collect
- Enquiry details. When you contact us or request a quote, we collect what you choose to give us: typically your name, email address, company name or phone number, project type, budget range, and a description of your project.
- Email correspondence. If you email us, we keep the correspondence so we can respond and refer back to it during an engagement.
- Analytics. We use Vercel Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics service. It gives us aggregate information, page views, referrers, country, and device type, and does not track you across other sites or build a profile of you.
- Advertising measurement. We use the Google Ads tag to understand whether an advertising click leads to a successful quote request. Google may use first-party cookies or similar identifiers to associate the visit with an ad. We send the conversion event only after the enquiry has been accepted by our website, and we do not send the form contents, name, email address, phone number, or project description to Google Ads.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare quotes you ask for.
- To deliver and manage engagements once you become a client.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the website is used so we can improve it.
- To measure whether our advertising produces genuine quote requests and improve campaign performance.
We only collect what we need for these purposes, and we do not use your details for marketing you have not asked for.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Storage and service providers
We use a small number of service providers to run the website and communicate with you:
- Vercel: hosts this website and provides the cookieless analytics described above.
- Resend: securely delivers form enquiries from this website to our email account. The website does not save a separate copy in an application database.
- Google Workspace: receives and stores enquiries and the email correspondence between us.
- Google Ads: measures visits from our advertising and records successful quote requests as conversion events. It does not receive the personal details entered in the form from us.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security commitments. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Cookies and advertising controls
The Google Ads tag may place or read cookies used to attribute an advertising click to a later quote request. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, or use browser controls that block advertising scripts. Doing so may prevent the conversion from being measured, but it does not prevent you from using the website or submitting an enquiry.
Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. Where information is handled overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is treated consistently with this policy and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Retention and security
We keep enquiry details and correspondence for as long as needed to handle your enquiry or engagement, and then for a reasonable period for record-keeping. Resend may retain delivery records under its service settings and policies. Data is encrypted in transit, and access to the systems holding it is restricted. If you would like your enquiry details deleted, email us and we will remove them unless we are required to keep them.
Access and correction
You can ask us at any time for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Email us and we will respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days. We do not charge for these requests.
Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, email us and we will investigate and respond promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated shown above.
